Founded in 2000 in Dublin, Ireland, by Gerard Walsh and expanded into Boston by Gavin Walsh in 2019, Blacklough Construction is the premier provider of new build and remodeling services in Greater Boston and the South Shore.
Gavin began his journey in the craft in 2004, starting as an FAS (Foras Áiseanna Saothair) Apprentice Carpenter. In 2006, while still in his apprenticeship, he became a Foreman on several large jobs in Dublin. In 2008, he finished his apprenticeship and moved on to Project Management. In 2010, he became a director at Blacklough and continues in this role today.
In 2011, Gavin brought his skills to Boston, working as a carpenter. He became a foreman for Haycon in 2014 and then a Project Manager in 2017 for KCM.
In 2019, Gavin continued the Blacklough name by establishing Blacklough Construction Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts.
In 2022, Blacklough opened their office at 551 Dorchester Ave in Andrew Square, making consultations and sample viewing convenient for anyone in the market for Blacklough’s services.
With experience on over 50 projects in Boston, Gavin brings deep knowledge of his craft, a vast network of professional relationships in Boston, and a passion for achieving the vision of his clients.

GAVIN WALSH
OWNER
Gavin Walsh, the visionary owner of Blacklough Construction, embarked on his journey as a carpenter, laying the groundwork for his illustrious career. With an impressive 20 years of experience in construction, his dedication and skill eventually led him to the esteemed position of Head Foreman at Blacklough in Ireland, where he honed his leadership and construction expertise. In 2011, Gavin embarked on an adventure, relocating to Boston, where he continued to shape his legacy in the construction industry. In 2019, he made a pivotal decision, bringing the cherished family business, Blacklough, to Boston, ensuring the city could benefit from the same level of craftsmanship and commitment that had defined the company for years.

HEAD FOREMAN
Ger Byrne, the accomplished Head Foreman at Blacklough Construction, made his journey to Boston in 1987. Commencing his career as a skilled plasterer, Ger quickly established himself as a craftsman of remarkable talent. Over the years, he ascended the ranks, taking on the role of Project Manager for several prominent construction firms throughout the Boston area. Today, as the head of Blacklough Construction’s dedicated team, Ger brings a wealth of experience and expertise to every project, ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
NADINE MULLERY
OFFICE MANAGER
Hailing from Tipperary Ireland relocated to Boston in 2024 is Blacklough's construction manager. Having studied accounting in MTU college Cork. Has made the transition from Mortgage advisor progressed into a management role at blacklough. Overseeing all office activities from ordering to the financial side of projects to ensure a smooth workflow and efficiency behind the scenes.
